Your Missouri License Renewal
September 24, 2024
All Missouri Salesperson Licenses Expire this year on 9/30/2024
If you have not completed your CE and paid your renewal fees please do so ASAP. Below is information regarding the renewal process as well as what steps our support team will be taking if you have current or pending transactions and your license is not showing online as renewed.
If you have or plan to have current pending and/or active transactions they will be transferred to another agent if not showing renewed online by September 25thIf you have completed your CE, paid your renewal fee to MREC and believe it will show online between the 25th-30th, please email support@movewithplatinum.com to let us know. Check your current online MO license status with MREC here or request your renewal pin here.
Your renewed license must be showing online with MREC for any transferred files to stay with you or later be released back to you. A receipt from MREC or CE certificate completions do not count as proof.
Why do we begin transferring pending sales and listing agreements before the license renewal deadline? We do this to ensure all transactions are completed before the end of the day on the 30th. If these transfers are not finalized in time, agents could unintentionally practice without a valid license, which constitutes a criminal offense. This situation could not only harm the individual agents but also jeopardize the integrity of our entire company. Proactively managing these transfers safeguards against legal complications and ensures that our operations continue smoothly and fully comply with regulatory requirements.
Please reach out to the Agent Support Team with any questions regarding your transactions and for help guiding you throughout the process described below.
September 25th
- Important: If your license is not renewed and you have pending transactions, you must let us know by September 25th who you prefer to assign your transaction to. This must be a Platinum Agent.
- Important: If you don’t have a preferred agent, or you don’t respond by September 25th, Platinum will assign your transaction to your local office Ambassador
- Important: You will want to Notify all parties to the contract (title, lender, etc) of that your transaction is moving to another agent and keep the assigned agent updated with all important information, including your renewal status.
- If you have not informed us of your preferred agent, or you haven’t responded, Platinum will begin adding your local office Ambassador or another licensed Platinum Realty Associate to your active listings and/or Pending contracts.
- You will receive an email to this effect – if you are renewed online, you will not receive this email.
- If you plan to refer the transaction – a referral agreement will need to be completed and uploaded to the transaction – with clearly stated commission terms
- Listings and/or Pending contracts will be removed from the MLS using an Amendment that Platinum will prepare.
- Reminder to keep the assigned agent updated on your license status and correct contact information for you and your customer/client
- Listings and/or Pending contracts will be removed from the MLS using an Amendment that Platinum will prepare.
September 27th and 30th
- Your access to Paperless Pipeline will be removed. If you are only licensed in MO, your MLS access will also be suspended.
- Once you are renewed (visible on MREC website), your status will be reinstated to active in Paperless Pipeline and the MLS. We will remove the assigned agent in Paperless Pipeline and the MLS
***In most cases, you can be paid a portion of the commission once your license is reinstated. The amount must be in relationship to the work you performed while fully licensed. In other words, you would only receive a partial commission if you were not licensed for much of the time before the close date.
